RSVP Cards and Funny Handwriting

Beware of poor handwriting on RSVP cards! I was reminded of a good tip that I got from a girlfriend when I was planning my wedding. She told me to assign numbers to my guest list and write the numbers real small on the back of the RSVP card before sending the invitation out. That way, when I got the RSVP card, I could match up the number on the RSVP card to the number and name on my list. This method was very helpful if I couldn’t read the handwriting. That saved me multiple times, especially when the post office mailed me a ripped up RSVP card and all I had was the number to identify my guest! Thanks Deneice!

That is so funny. But I bet they remembered to check off what meal they preferred. :P

I wrote people’s names on the RSVP card – i only had one problem – when one of the guests sent me back the card without checking either the “yes, i’ll be there” or “no, I won’t be there” boxes.

Hahah! That’s so funny. So, auschick, you wrote each of your guest’s names on the response card? Did that take a long time? Did you keep a spreadsheet of your guests, or did you use an online tool?

Don’t forget about the people who don’t even bother to write in their names all together! The #-system definitely saved my sister.
