Regretful Registry Items

Source: Crate and Barrel

I think everyone has something that they realized that they didn’t need to put on their registry. I’ve heard items like, too many towels, or kitchen appliances that were never used. I’m proud to say that we use all the items on our registry…..but one. It’s a juicer that we got from Crate and Barrel. It’s not electric and it looked cool. I figured, since we didn’t plan on juicing often, it was okay to get the manual juicer. I tried using it, but you need to be Superman to get enough juice out of 3 oranges for one small cup of orange juice. Cleaning it was a bit of a pain, too. What do we do with it now? It’s shelf-ware….just looking pretty. But I could have lived without it. I hope the person who got it for me is not reading this post. haha.

What items did you regret putting on your registry?

While some retailers have generous return policies when it comes to registries, most only give store credit instead of cash. Cardpool.com is a site started by a fellow CMU alum that will let you trade in store credit and gift cards for cash! So return the juicer to C&B, get your cash, and you can probably buy a years worth of freshly squeezed juice.

Thanks, @CMUalum! That is a very cool site. I will definitely be using this in the near future, and maybe again around Christmas time. :O)
