DIY Project Your Groom Can Do!

Let me be clear here, I did not do one lick of last minute DIY. Nothing. There were too many details, too much family, too much craziness for me to be putting hydrangeas and river rocks into jars the morning of my wedding. All DIY was done about a month to a week before the wedding, and believe me, I only did that so that I could save my big bucks for stuff I didn’t have time to DIY, like food, flowers, heavy lifting, etc.
Fancy Table Numbers like I had seen at weddings of my friends was something that I wanted, but didn’t want to pay to rent (your standard folded paper with a printed number on it was what I would have been given with my wedding package). My Bridesmaidzilla found some awesome picture frames on clearance at Target, and she snatched them up for me just for this purpose. They came in packs of 8 and look like pewter or silver, but they are (drum roll please) PLASTIC! A little bit of card stock, a fancy font on the computer, and clear instructions to my honey, and boom: Fancy Table Numbers. The project was pretty easy. You cut your paper the same size as the picture frame, print out the numbers, and then frame the page as you would a photo.  Anyone, even your groom, can do it. In fact, get your groom to do this. You’re too busy. Grand total was $30 for 24 table numbers, and I get to keep them for the next wedding of a friend or family member.

Sean and I are going to do DIY table numbers like this, except we’re going to name our tables after memorable date locations. We’ll put a pic of us at the location and a story about why it’s memorable in a pic frame like this.

Andm no, Katie, we’re not engaged yet. But we are researching/planning the wedding!

It pays to be prepared! :)
