A Real Runner for the Aisle

I was practically born in my family’s Persian rug shop. (shameless plug: www.jahannandsons.com).  I work there now, where my title is Princess of the Carpet Store.  I digress…  But anyway,  as a result, when deciding on my wedding ceremony decor, I poo-pooed at the idea of a standard lacy white aisle runner for my big day.  Even a red carpet was far too provincial.  I was going to walk down the aisle on a Persian rug!  And, I did!  Now, I know not everyone has access to an entire inventory of runners, but almost everyone has family and friends with hallways in their home.  Keep your eyes peeled and check out everyone’s hall runners next time you go to a dinner party.  Maybe someone has something appropriate that you could borrow for your big day.  It wouldn’t cost anything, and it would add an extra special sentimental touch!

Awesome! We used a Korean runner with traditional multi-colored stripes that my aunt brought with her from Korea. I saw it in my parents’ wedding pictures and thought it’d add a nice touch of culture (and color).
