I’ve seen on TV and heard about the Engagement Chicken several times now. If you haven’t heard about it, the story is, whoever makes this chicken recipe for their man will get engaged soon after. Sounds like a movie plot (maybe I’m on to something?) but a friend of mine will try it on her man after they’ve been dating for YEARS. So it seems like Barefoot Contessa has the most recognized recipe but then Glamour Magazine claims that it started with them and that they’ve seen 70 couples engaged since 2004 as a result of it. I’m confused of the origin but the results are interesting.
Have you known anyone who tried the Engagement Chicken? Did it work?
I am going to try it this weekend too… Will let you know the results!
(Whatever the outcome there will be general tastiness in the form of leftovers for days!)

Just to update everyone on my friend’s engagement chicken endeavors, it didn’t work. If 2 out of 3 wanna-be-brides from this post say it didn’t work, then I’m currently not a believer based on these almost-scientific results.
