You heard it first here on Big Fat Cake: It’s back … the legendary Running of the Brides^® where hundreds of brides-to-be and their helpers will descend upon Filene’s Basement in Washington, D.C., hoping to find the wedding gown of their dreams at a blowout price. Over 1700 gowns (sizes 2 – 26), originally selling for as much as $9,000, are up for grabs starting at just $249. Some bargain-hunting brides line up hours before the doors open at 8:00am, but great deals can be found throughout the day. Gown sales are final.
