So Many Sales, I Gotta Buy Something

In light of the poor economy and all the Christmas sales in my face, I feel the pressure to buy buy buy!! Sales are so good that I feel like I can’t pass them up. So what do I do? Figure out what I need for the next year and try to purchase as many things as I can in advance. Very beneficial for those that are planning weddings. I always encourage brides to take advantage of holiday sales throughout the year but this holiday season seems to have some ridiculous discounts, including free shipping offers. So what are the sale items that a bride can take advantage of during the holiday sales this winter? Let me list a few items to get your juices going, but I’d like to hear what you were able to buy for your wedding!

• Wedding Dresses -Yes, believe it or not, many bridal salons have holiday sales so you can not only get your dress, but veil and other accessories
• Crafts store for DIY projects (Michaels, AC Moore, etc) – think invitations, centerpiece extras, favors packaging, seating cards, and so forth.
• Bridesmaids dresses – many stores carry bridesmaids dress lines.
• Jewelry for the bride, bridesmaids, or mothers – many jewelry stores, like Mervis, have holiday sales especially since it’s a go-to gift from men to women. Getting jewelry to wear on the wedding day makes the event seem even more special.
• Wedding shoes – of course you can get at any shoe or department store.
• Items for your home - perhaps even off your registry, which can end up cheaper than your 10% completion offer. You can get a head start on linens, kitchen items, and so forth.
