Park Avenue Church on the Upper East Side

Church on Park Ave at 85th Street

I went to a beautiful ceremony at the Park Avenue Christian Church in New York City on Park Ave and 85th street. The church congregation has been around since the early 1800′s and the church building has been at its current location since 1911. The church had a vintage feeling that made me feel like it had a history of great people that worshiped and got married there. The size is not overwhelmingly big like many of the older churches.

Ceremony location was in the sanctuary. Stained glass was pretty. This picture from my phone doesn't do it justice. :)

The sanctuary is surrounded by Tiffany stained glass and an impressive church organ in the back.

The organist sat in the back of the church, The couple included in the program both traditional organ music and more contemporary songs on the piano.

Congratulations to Lily & John!
